Premiership season point totals

I took Portsmouth under 47.5 -108 at Pinnacle. Now the line is at -125.

My reasoning is that with the sale of most of the first team players who started last season, they will struggle to get above this total this year. They finished this past season with only 41 points! I don't see why the bookies expect them to IMPROVE their point total by six or seven points when they've sold Defoe, Diarra and now Johnson. Distin may be on his way to Liverpool and Crouch has come out and critisized the way the club is being run into the ground.

Don't have a feeling on this number but you are aware the sale to some Arab billionaire is about to go through. Don't know when they will splash the cash but Portsmouth, quite unbelievably, will be one of the richest teams in the world come a few weeks.

I'm well aware of the "pending" deal. The club had to release a statement indicating that the disgraced former Thai PM who owned Manchester City was not involved in the deal. Why would they be selling Glen Johnson for 18 million pounds if they were going to have all this cash to spend in a matter of a few weeks? Pre-season starts in three weeks. They won't have time to bring in great players and make them work. Just look at what happened to Man City last season with Robinho.
